THE CHALLENGE

Nectar Cold Pressed built their reputation the honest way a café favourite on the Northern Beaches, the fresh-squeezed juice regulars ordered without thinking twice. When they secured ranging in Coles and Woolworths, the game changed entirely. The café fridge is forgiving. The supermarket shelf is not.

There was also a problem nobody had quite named yet. Cold pressed juice settles. As the sediment separates, the colour fades — and Nectar's original white-label packaging had been built around the vibrancy of the product. On the shelf, as the juice lost its colour, so did the brand.


THE OPPORTUNITY

Don't rely on the product to do what the packaging should.

The insight that changed everything was simple: stop asking the juice to be the colour, and give that job to the label. By flipping the concept entirely using bold, vibrant label colour rather than a white background Nectar could own its shelf presence regardless of what was happening inside the bottle. The product's natural qualities became a feature of the story, not a liability in the design.

THE OUTCOME

Nectar Cold Pressed is a brand that believes real food should be honest cold pressed, unprocessed, and made the way nature intended. A female-led family business that built something genuine on the Northern Beaches and earned its place in the country's biggest supermarkets and cafes by merit. The new packaging had to carry all of that confidence, vibrancy, and the kind of boldness that earns a second look in a crowded fridge.

The result is a label that injects the colour the product can no longer guarantee. Bright, bold, and unmistakably Nectar a design that holds its shelf presence from the moment it's stocked to the moment it's sold, and gives a small brand the visual confidence to stand shoulder to shoulder with the big ones.
